19 June - - Glenfiddich Composer in residence, Dufftown
2 -7 July - John Kenny performs with Stephen Deazley's ensemble Music in The Brewhouse in "Helter Skelter" at the Glasgow Tramway.
4-11 August - Resident at the Dartington International Festival & Summer School as teacher and recitalist. During the week, Kenny will join with trumpeter Paul Archibald and pianist Juliet Edwards to perform newly commissioned trios for brass and piano.
18-19 August - John Kenny & John Purser perform and lecture at Achaeolink, Insch, Aberdeenshire.
20-30 September - Lectures and recital tour in China, including the International Trombone Festival
18 September - Carnyx Youth Brass - Klassik im Pavillon, in the Philharmonie Essen YOUrope Together Festival, representing the United Kingdom

12 October - Trio K.E.A. (John Kenny trombone, Paul Archibald, trumpet, & Juliet Edwards piano) perform the Trio by Michael Lester Cribb at a celebration of the composer's life to be held at St. Cuthbert's Parish Church, Edinburgh.
2-21 December - John Kenny is composer in residence at the CCMIX Institute, Paris.
