by French-American composer Etienne Rollin, on the EROL label.
- Locking Horns 2 - Kenny & Rolin live at the Musee National Prehistoire,
Nemours, on the EROL label.
- Tartan Chameleons - improvisations with Etienne Rolin (clarinet and sax), and
Bruno Maurice (free bass accordion) on the EROL label.
2003 performances:
- January 27 to April 7 American Drama Group Europe tours Germany & Austria
for the second year with John Kenny and Paul Stebbing's music theatre adaptation
of the Paul Auster novel Moon Palace for two dancers, two actors, and jazz

- February 1, 7.30pm Glasgow Royal Concert Hall. John Kenny performs and
lectures on the carnyx as part of the Children's Classic Concerts series.
February 10, 6-9pm John Kenny conducts a collaborative workshop with composers at
Glasgow University, hosted by the Paragon Ensemble.

- March 6 Thurso Choreographer Eric Tessier-Lavigne's and John Kenny's
production Hypothetically Murdered, based upon an episode in the life of Dmitri
Shostakovitch, with Key's reconstruction of Shostakovitch's 1933 piano sketches,
for 3 dancers, one actor, 4 musicians, and the film scapes of John McGeoch.

- March 12 RSAMD, Glasgow John Kenny with Kathryn Tickell's Ensemble
Mystical.
- March 15 Stade de France, Paris. John Kenny opens the Celtic Magic
extravaganza on solo carnyx.
- March 17 to 22 Russe Festival, Bulgaria. Artist in residence - recitals,
masterclasses and workshops.
- March 23 to 30 Mostar, Bosnia. Recitals and workshops at the Mostar Music
Center, working with composer Nigel Osborne.
- May 5 to 17 Angers, France. Following the success of John Kenny's double
concerto Susano for bass trombone, timpani and Javanese Gamelan, commissioned by
the Festival d'Angers in 2001, the Ville d'Angers has invited Kenny back this
year to turn Susano into a dance theatre production, involving 18 musicians and
12 dancers. Susano is performed by Kenny on bass trombone, with timpanist Fabrice
Marandola, the Centre National de Dance (Angers), and the Gamelan Gallerie
Sonore.
- August 10 Festival Interceltique de Lorient, Brittany, France. World Premier
of a festival commission for carnyx, soprano, percussion and bombard quartet,
with Camyx & Company.
